# SKILL.md

**`SKILL.md`** is the entrypoint manifest of an **Agent Skill** folder (`agentskills.io`). It combines a strict YAML frontmatter block (`name` and `description`, loaded into the agent's context at startup so the router knows when the skill applies) with a Markdown body of step-by-step instructions, tool usage rules, and relative links to bundled `scripts/`, `references/`, and `assets/` that are read into context only when the skill is activated. Used by: anthropic-agent-skills-format.
